New organizational structure at the MRC du Golfe-du-Saint-Laurent

Chevery, April 3rd, 2017 – Since January 1st, 2017, the MRC du Golfe-du-Saint-Laurent adds to its responsabilities, local and regional economic development. The MRC is supported by a staff of 11 employees specializing in agri-food, fishery and aquaculture, employability, economic, land management and administrative sectors.

The services to entrepreneurs are always available and the financial aid programs remain the same. The MRC has eight funds:

  • Entrepreneurial Fund;
  • Social Economy Fund;
  • Economic Diversification Fund;
  • Rural Initiatives Fund;
  • Concertation Fund;
  • Enterprise Trade Fund;
  • Rural Development Fund;
  • Structuring Projects Fund.

In addition, the MRC manages two funds for external resources:

  • Self-Employment Assistance;
  • Local Investment Fund/Local Solidarity Fund.

In order to give access to our clientele, outlets are spread throughout the territory: St. Paul’s River, Saint-Augustin, La Tabatière and Lourdes-de-Blanc-Sablon and the head office in Chevery.
